Minnesota YMCA campers rescued after being stranded in Canada by wildfires
Gov. Tim Walz said officials are working to rescue two groups of YMCA campers from Minnesota who were stranded near the United States-Canadian border in a remote area where wildfires are heavily burning.

The U.S. Forest Service will temporarily close 13 entry points beginning Saturday to lakes, recreation sites and trails in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness near Ely, owing to escalating wildfires in the double digits that began earlier this week.
