Ukraine launched one of its largest aerial assaults on Russia overnight on Saturday, firing on targets deep inside the country and killing at least six people, according to Russian authorities.

Russian forces launched a missile attack on Kyiv early on ​Sunday, sparking fires in at ‌least two districts of Ukraine's capital, Mayor Vitali Klitschko said.

The country's defence ministry said a Spanish F-18 fighter jet pilot on a NATO air policing mission shot ‌down an unmanned aircraft illegally breaching national airspace.
