CIA Director John Ratcliffe held high-level talks in Cuba focused on intelligence cooperation, economic stability and security issues amid strained U.S.-Cuba relations.

The United States ⁠plans ⁠to indict Cuba's Raul ⁠Castro, a U.S. Department of Justice official said late ​on Thursday.

Taking to social media on Wednesday, Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel blamed the US for the energy shortages as he acknowledged the "particularly tense" situation across the island.
