Minnesota House Speaker Lisa Demuth fended off MyPillow founder and Trump loyalist Mike Lindell to win the state's Republican primary for governor, according to a race call by the Associated Press.

But the limits of its power were on display on Tuesday in Minnesota, where Mike Lindell, the MyPillow founder and outspoken election denier, came up short in the Republican primary for governor.

The Associated Press called the race for Demuth at 11:26 p.m. ET as the state speaker had secured 43.6% of the 93% of the votes counted.
