An 18-year-old has died following a violent crash involving a runaway horse carriage in Central Park on Wednesday afternoon.

Romanch Mahajan, 18, died on June 17 after he fell off the carriage as its horse sprinted through the Central Park, authorities said.

The 18-year-old was riding in the horse-drawn carriage with three other passengers when the accident happened just before 3 p.m., police told Global News in a statement.
