The storm system is forecast to produce severe thunderstorms, with flooding rains, hail, and possible tornadoes, from the Big Bend of Texas through the Great Lakes.

Forecasters are warning that very large hail, damaging winds and a few tornadoes are likely by late afternoon.

Tornado Warnings are starting to be issued in Southwest Lower Michigan as intense storms continue to roll across the state. This is a large, tornadic supercell thunderstorm that has done heavy damage in the Three Rivers area, according to emergency officials there. It has large hail, high winds and heavy rain.

The overlapping warnings highlight a volatile forecast in which severe thunderstorms, heavy snow and tornadoes are all possible.

Storm surveys are underway following days of severe weather across North Texas. At least seven tornadoes have been confirmed during Sunday's storms in counties west of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and two during the storms on Monday north of the metroplex,

A line of severe thunderstorms is rolling across parts of Michigan on Thursday night, packing the potential for large hail, high winds and a risk of tornadoes in one part of the state. Our first tornado warning has been issued by the National Weather Service for Southwest Michigan.
