Singer d4vd has been arrested on suspicion of killing a 14-year-old girl whose decomposed body was found seven months ago in his apparently abandoned Tesla, authorities said Thursday. His lawyers declared his innocence.

The singer known as D4vd was arrested Thursday in the murder of Celeste Rivas Hernandez, the teenager last seen alive a year ago and whose decomposed remains were found in the trunk of the singer’s abandoned Tesla, multiple law enforcement sources told NBC4 Investigates.

Celeste Rivas Hernandez, the 14-year-old girl found dead in the front trunk of a Tesla SUV belonging to singer D4vd, died of “multiple penetrating injuries caused by object(s),” the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office said on Wednesday.
