Ukraine’s U.N. ambassador called Russia a “pariah state" after Moscow launched one of its heaviest overnight attacks on Kyiv, killing at least 18 people and wounding more than 90 people.
At least eight people were killed and dozens injured early Thursday as Russia launched a large-scale bombardment of Kyiv using ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and drones.
Russia's defence ministry said on Thursday it hit military and industrial facilities in the Ukrainian capital of Kyiv, as well as infrastructure at ports in Odesa and Pivdennyi and a maritime vessel.
