Manama, Jun. 6 (BNA): The Kingdom of Bahrain welcomed the success of the mediation efforts undertaken by the United Arab Emirates between the Russian Federation and Ukraine, which resulted in a new prisoner exchange involving 370 prisoners from both sides.

The Ukraine-Russia ceasefire would include a suspension of all "kinetic activity" and a swap of 1,000 prisoners from each country, President Trump said.

Russia and Ukraine carried out a prisoner swap under a 1,000-for-1,000 deal initiated by US President Donald Trump, with humanitarian assistance from the UAE.

Russian and Ukraine announced on Tuesday they had each swapped 90 prisoners with the other side in an exchange mediated by the United Arab Emirates.
