The NBA has intervened on a proposed Atlanta Hawks promotional event that was a collaboration with a local strip club, Magic City.

"I believe canceling this promotion is the right decision for the broader NBA community," NBA commissioner Adam Silver wrote.

While the Magic City promotion itself has been cancelled, some planned elements of the night will remain in place.
