A New York man was convicted of running a secret Chinese police station in Manhattan used to monitor dissidents, federal prosecutors said Wednesday.

“A police station operating in New York City at the direction of the Chinese government has been exposed,” U.S. Attorney Joseph Nocella Jr. said.
