BEIRUT/JERUSALEM, June 3 (Reuters) - Israeli drone strikes killed at least six people in southern Lebanon and targeted a car just south of Beirut on Wednesday, Lebanese security sources said, while Israel said it intercepted a hostile aircraft likely fired by Hezbollah.
Israel’s air force carried out an airstrike on a southern suburb of the capital, Beirut, Thursday afternoon, the Israeli military said, further straining a fragile ceasefire a day ahead of crucial negotiations in Washington.
The Lebanese Health Ministry says that Israeli airstrikes have struck seven vehicles in Lebanon, killing 12 people. Three of the targeted cars were on the main highway just south of Beirut.

Pakistan’s interior minister is in Tehran to restart negotiations between Iran and the U.S. The visit comes as the American military reported shooting down two more Iranian drones over the Strait of Hormuz.
