Rich Eisen shared a blunt message regarding former Las Vegas Raiders QB Geno Smith as he prepares for a second stint with the New York Jets.

New York Jets head coach Aaron Glenn told Judy Battista of NFL Network during a sitdown interview that the Jets have "brought a competent starter" in at quarterback this year after trading for ex-Las Vegas Raiders signal-caller Geno Smith.

The Jets acquired Smith, their former second-round draft pick whose first tenure with the team fizzled out rapidly, in a trade with the Raiders earlier this month. Glenn particularly touted Smith’s play in Seattle; he was the full-time starter from 2022-24, had a record of 27-22 and was named the NFL’s Comeback Player of the Year in 2022.
